    Edible Chocolate Body Paint For Romantics Recipe

    Saturday, July 26, 2008, 08:13 PM EST [General]

    To go along with the upcoming holiday I thought I'd find this recipie for anyone who wants to play with it! ;)

    Ingredients
        * 1/3 cup granulated sugar
        * 1 pinch salt
        * 3 tablespoons water
        * 2 tablespoons butter
        * 1/4 cup cocoa powder
        * 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
        * 1/2 teaspoon (or more) your favorite alcohol, or to taste
        * Heating pad
        * Fine soft brush for painting
        * Optional flavorings like raspberry, etc. Experiment.

    Directions
       1. Put sugar, salt and water in a small saucepan (inside a larger sauce pan with water in the bottom of it) over medium heat.
       2. Do not stir but wait for the mixture to come to a boil then reduce heat to a simmer and watch closely until all of the sugar granules have dissolved. Do not touch it or sugar crystals will form and crack the sugar and do not walk away from it.
       3. Remove from heat
       4. Add butter and stir with a wire whisk until well incorporated.
       5. Add cocoa powder, vanilla and your choice of alcohol. Whisk until well incorporated.
       6. Pour into a small crock, mug or other deep container.
       7. Use the paint as soon as it is cooled enough to be comfortable. The warmer the sauce the easier it is to paint with but you don't want to burn your 'canvas'.
       8. To keep pliable place on a heating pad on low next to you.
       9. If the sauce becomes hard because you are pre-occupied, warm it in the microwave for 20 seconds. Stir and test the temperature again before using.
      10. Stores for a few days in the refrigerator.

    Or

    Warming Chocolate Lotion
    2 tb. glycerin
    1 tb. cocoa powder

    Mix well.
