Where has Opal been?
Well folks, I’ve had my hands full.
First there was the move from Canada to Ohio. My ex didn’t seem to feel it was a problem to leave me stranded in a foreign country with no money – and although he promised to keep paying on the storage unit that had our things in it, he has already notified me that he’s dropping that payment, even though my things are still there.

Crossing the border ended up not being a problem at all…. A friends well endowed chest boasting some cleavage inside a shirt guaranteed our safe passage across the border. (Score one for the women! Thanks Kelly!)

My daughter, not-quite-son-in-law and grandson are wonderful and I’m quite comfortable in their home… however shortly after the long awaited instillation of the internet I found myself on another journey that has kept me from my home away from home (The Club) and the wonderful radio shows.

I had to do a late night rescue run to Tennessee after a certain police force decided to violate several civil rights and use excessive violence against a disabled man, his live-in-boy-friend and an old woman with a broken foot and alzheimers (my mother). That’s as much as I can say about that, and I think that’s enough.

I’m back home now. Plans are to get my drivers license and secure a grant to study for a degree as a Law Associate (on line) as well as be the caretaker for my mother after November 5th when I’ll go back to Tennessee. I’ll be taking my computer with me and will have it set up with the internet in my room there. I’ll be setting a schedule with the afore mentioned disabled man (who is a great friend and has an amazing sense of humor!) so that I’ll be able to spend time on line studying and playing here at The Club.

I hear that Tim has stepped into my opalpedia shoes for Liz…. Thanks Tim, that’s a huge responsibility off my mind!

Oh yeah, the guy…. Things are moving slowly- just like I wanted. ;)
